As an Australian trained physio and accredited acupuncturist,  Yann grew up in Hong Kong , Singapore , Melbourne and London. Upon graduation, Yann acquired well-grounded knowledge in a wide range of settings  such as professional sports, pre/post operation (orthopaedics) , paediatrics, neurological, pre/post natal rehab and Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture.

Drawing experience from his near service ending injury that he sustained during his time in the military, Yann recognised the significance of a multi-faceted holistic approach to an injury. This set him on a journey to explore treatment techniques of different disciplines and he was fortunate enough to be mentored by various clinicians notable in their own discipline along his career.

This exposure profoundly influenced his unique treatment approach which crystallizes modern scientific evidence-based practice knowledge and manual handling of Physiotherapy, with Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture and Chiropractic Manipulation.

With over a decade of experience, including being the consulting physio for a number of  ‘S&P 500’ companies and International sports events. The list of clients under Yann's care ranges from world renowned athletes, government officials, celebrities and public figures to the urban dwellers of this bustling city of Hong Kong.

Specializing in rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions and sports injury Yann commits to every single client experience with the same level of passion and dedication.

Rosena qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1994 and completed her basic grade rotations in NHS (UK) hospitals. She achieved her Masters Degree in Sports Injury and Therapy in 2000 and worked in private clinics, before setting up her own clinic Johnston Clinic Ltd (UK).

For the first 10 years of her career, Rosena held official appointments with various sports teams and provided pitch side / match side/ event physiotherapy at National and International events.

For the next 10 years, Rosena built on her Elite Sports knowledge of acute single joint injury and pain (ankle / knees / shoulders etc) and focused on more complex issues surrounding hip/back pain, in particular working with those determined to avoid the surgeon’s knife!

Rosena studied with Sarah Key from Australia, who devised the 5 stages of spinal breakdown and she became an accredited practitioner in the Sarah Key Method in 2010. This has revolutionised her approach to helping patients take back control of their condition through learned exercises and understanding of behavioural patterns contributing to their pain.

She has supplemented her expertise through extensive travel overseas and gained insight into different medical models of care, cultural differences and expectations surrounding exercise and pain. She has developed and implemented the training and development programme of sports physiotherapists and exercise physiologists in Singapore and overseen the effectiveness of services provided for weight management, RSWT (radial shockwave therapy)& ACL rehabilitation.

Rosena likes to work with motivated individuals, who will benefit from her extensive knowledge and background. Now in her 3rd decade of being a physiotherapist she offers this simple advice if you want to get better:

“The key to getting out of pain is to identify and change the pain inducing behaviour!”

She looks forward to seeing you at her clinic soon!
